For curious tipplers and cocktail enthusiasts who have been seriously missing the nightlife scene, Singapore Cocktail Festival (SGCF) is here to quench your thirst. SGCF returns with its second run of its City Takeover, a pivotal edition that was birthed during the pandemic last year.
Asia’s largest celebration of cocktails expects over 60 events on its festival calendar from Friday 12 November to Sunday 12 December 2021, including boozy cocktail brunches, bar crawls and an inaugural collaboration with London Cocktail Week (LCW).
As part of the City Takeover, 36 participating cocktail bars will present one SGCF cocktail each. Since F&B establishments have been restricted from playing music, SGCF aims to inject some fun back into bars by making “Music” as the theme for cocktail innovation.
One can anticipate exciting and innovative creations like Employees Only Singapore's signature cocktail inspired by Frank Sinatra's "My Way", or get Rick-Rolled by Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall. Who said you can't have cocktails for breakfast? For five weekends from 13 November to 12 December, 10 bars – Astor Bar, Jekyll & Hyde, Ju Hua Tai, Low Tide, Madame Fan, MO Bar, Origin Bar, Republic Bar, Tess Bar & Kitchen, and Tippling Club – will be taking turns to impress epicureans in a cocktail brunch showdown. Quench your sense of wanderlust with The Taste of London Bar Crawl, a collaboration between SGCF and LCW, bringing you some of London's best cocktails right in the heart of Singapore. The Taste of London Bar Crawl features three bars per itinerary and held on 1 and 2 December. Tickets are priced at S$100 nett per person and includes one cocktail per stop.
For a taste of local pride, experience the best of Singapore’s vibrant cocktail scene with the SGCF Discovery Bar Crawl on 17 and 18 November. Get to know the masterminds behind your favourite cocktail haunts and enjoy SGCF Signature Cocktails from featured bars. The SGCF Discovery Bar Crawl features three bars per itinerary. Tickets are priced at S$70 nett per person and includes one cocktail per stop.
