Experience nature in its pristine form at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, which is a mere 12 km from the bustling city centre.
This 163-ha reserve includes Singapore’s highest hill, Bukit Timah Hill, which stands at 163 m and retains one of the few areas of primary rainforest in the country.
The Reserve was reopened in October 2016 following the completion of restoration works carried out from September 2014 to October 2016.

We’re sure you must’ve heard of the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and how serene it is to be there.
But did you know, you could explore a high percentage of Singapore’s native flora and fauna just walking down this lush area? Stroll amidst pretty sights of Shorea curtisii and Red Dhup as you spot critters like Sunda Pangolin, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, and Malayan Colugo.
You can go on the adventurous mountain biking trail once you’re here or hike up to 163 metres of the Bukit Timah Hill. The trail is fairly easy and you can do it by yourself but it is best enjoyed with a hiking group.
You can choose to follow moderate, medium, or steep paths to get up the hill, depending on how much experience you have as a hiker.
Pro-tip, make sure to stock up on water and mosquito repellant.
