As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's timeless masterpiece, "Le Petit Prince," celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2023, Sofitel Hotels and Resorts joyfully celebrates their eleven-year association with the classic work and The Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation.
In a worldwide tribute, Sofitel hotels are embracing the significance of the rose, a crucial element in "Le Petit Prince." The event takes shape at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa with an array of rose-inspired items ranging from exquisite cocktails to engaging family activities. The talented French paper artist Marjorie Colas created a beautiful piece of sustainable art with paper flowers for the resort's lobby as a gift from Accor, Sofitel's parent company.
Colas' stunning paper rose serves as the centrepiece of the foyer installation at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa. Origami roses are delicately constructed from repurposed flyers, and old magazines surround it, emphasising the resort's commitment to sustainability. This artistic endeavour reflects the core idea of "Le Petit Prince" by transforming discarded paper into vivid roses that express the spirit of exploration.
The resort introduces interesting "Le Petit Prince" activities for families to enhance the guest experience and create a sense of adventure. Upon arrival, young visitors are given an activity sheet that leads them on a treasure quest to discover the resort's hidden gems. They will also be given instructions on how to make their own paper roses. These activities exemplify the resort's commitment to cultivating a greater feeling of exploration and appreciation for the world, and they fit in perfectly with the spirit of "Le Petit Prince."
