Haw Par Villa, formerly known as the Tiger Balm Gardens, is an 8.5-hectare Asian cultural park, the last of its kind in the world.

Built in 1937, Singapore’s largest outdoor art gallery is the brainchild of Aw Boon Haw, the millionaire philanthropist and marketing extraordinaire who gifted Tiger Balm.

The eclectic park is a treasure trove of art, culture, philosophy and religion.

Step into this amazing Asian cultural park featuring magnificent statues and dioramas from the Chinese mythology.

Enjoy the Ten Courts of Hell where you can feast your eyes on gruesome scenes of hell from Chinese and Buddhist mythology.

This is the most random place ever! Brought my friends here because they wanted to "see things that tourists don't usually see." Highly recommend!

Experienced this last year and what an interesting place this is. Can be quite gruesome if you follow the story line and the graphic images. Some parts not for kids me thinks. I had my mother here when we went to see it, have a lot of photos.

this place is great. Truly unique. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Singapore and want to do something different. Quirky displays and gruesome statues, enough to scare the kids both young and old

I've been there once a long time ago and wish to plan a second visit as it's as funny and unexpected place to spend some time with family.

We'd heard about this place even before moving to Singapore. We finally went last week. Wow y'all! We were so impressed. It was bigger and more elaborate than I'd expected. Really interesting stuff. As you may have heard, some of it (in the Ten Courts of Hell) is SO gruesome (if you have children, beware). I learned so much though. We really enjoyed just walking around. They are in the process of repainting it. Free to enter, super close to the Haw Par MRT. Definitely check this out at least once (good place to bring visitors). There's a restaurant not too far away that is worth a visit too (Pipe District Bistro). We visited Haw Par Villa in the morning then had a lovely lunch. Good Saturday morning.
