In this free workshop, Dr Whetter, MA Creative Writing Programme Leader, will demonstrate the fundamentals of metaphor and its opportunities for all modes of writing (and, indeed, verbal communication).
Although metaphor is the core of poetry, it also makes for great prose (fiction and non) and, when used responsibly, dialogue, as well as projects which spin off from writing (e.g. visual art, slogans, ad copy, etc.).
Following an intermission and complimentary refreshments, those who wish to remain are invited to hear Dr Whetter’s brief description of LASALLE’s nascent MA Creative Writing Programme.
