Most Zi Char stalls are commonly found throughout the country's hawker centres and kopitiams located in the heartlands of Singapore, selling dishes of Singaporean cuisine. Hence, most of the stalls are usually found in a casual, non air-conditioned setting such as Rays Beach House.
The evening menu is full of flavours including dishes such as Pulled Pork burgers, made with a sauce of Japanese curry, ketchup, and some other secret ingredients providing a good balance of saltiness and sweetness, Beef Cheek slow roasted, a Pork Curry to die for and also a fragrant vegetarian Kailan dish - also referred to as Asian kale! - where chef cuts up the Kailan leaves and deep fries it, sprinkles the dish with white bait so you get a lot of texture as well.
Other menu items include Crispy Noodles, the right amount of crunch and yet chewy textured noodles covered in vegetables, meat and seafood! (Vegetarian option available too!), King Pork Ribs which are ever so tender and a kids-favourite, topped with sesame seeds and a sticky sweet umami sauce.
