Grandmother story:
Let me first set the context. The rear brakes of my bicycle squeal every time I brake no matter how I try to clean my brakes. I went to a few different bike shops in my neighbourhood to diagnose but all of them dismissed that it was just oily/dirty brake disc and brake pads and told me to clean my brakes. Most of them did not even bother test riding my bike to see exactly what happened. When i told them i tried cleaning, they blamed me for inproper cleaning method of my brakes. Even when I let these shops service my brakes, the squeal would return almost immediately. Fed up with my neighbourhood bike shops, I decided to give Cannasia a chance and i can't be anymore satisfied.
When I first entered the shop at vertex, no one attended to me or bothered about my presence despite me carrying my bicycle into their store. I saw a staff sitting behind the counter and aprroached him(sorry i didnt get his name). I describe the problem of my bicycle and he listened attentively like a detective looking for clues. Afterwards, he test rode my bicycle to try and recreate the problem. Within a minute, he was able to diagnose the problem and even explained elaborately and clearly to me the cause of the noise. It wasnt dirty/oily disc brakes or pad. It was harmonic resonance caused by my brake pads not sitting perfectly in the housing (or something like that). He then proceeded to adjust my brakes for me. Sure enough within 10 minutes, there was no more squeal coming from the brakes! I went on further to ask him for many advices and questions and he happily answered all of them. He did not even try to use those opportunity to hard sell me anything.
Sure, it definitely cost more to get your bicycle fixed here, but the service and product knowledge is top notch. And that alone is worth the price."
