Queensway Shopping Centre

Published - 31 December 2018, Monday

Built in 1975 and opened in 1976, Queensway Shopping Centre is one of several Singapore’s first multi-purpose shopping complexes.

It is a commercial property with its primary use as a mall to shop, rent, and sale. It has four levels and a storey basement car park.

Amazingly, the Centre has a 13-storey apartment tower.

The Centre comprises of 150 shops, even though its design is to house over 200 shops, an exhibition hall, a big emporium and a coffee house.

You can find ANYTHING regarding sports equipment here---reasonable price on brand name sports gear (sneakers, cleats, shin guards, mouthguards, etc). Every sport is represented. The shop owners are nice and are willing to often look across their different stores for inventory. Doesn't look like much from the outside but well worth it.

This shopping centre was first introduced to me as the best place to buy sporting goods. It sure did impress. Whether it were shoes, clothes, bags to tennis racquets or sunglasses. Taylor made clothes, picture framing and printing. Levels and levels of shops crammed in one place. It's all here.

I love this shopping center. Quirky and old school by Singapore standards, once of the best thing is you can find amazing bargains - especially anything to do with sport - shoes, clothes, bats, etc... Cool clothes too and it's just generally worth a poke around at some point during your stay in Singapore xxxx
