With work-from-home measures becoming the new norm, keeping the mental well-being in check is more important than ever. In their bid to bring a sense of calm and comfort to its Singapore fans, Leckerbaer has launched an all-day (10.30am – 8.30pm) Tea Set (S$34+) with WhatsApp-facilitated delivery for a café experience at home.
Aimed at working couples, the Tea Set is essentially a two-person package of two small bakes, four signature småkager (Danish cookie) and two beverages across coffees and artisanal teas for the perfect afternoon snack break or post-dinner treat. In rekindling last Circuit Breaker’s spirit of gifting, Leckerbaer’s colourful array of småkager and small bakes are also available for island-wide delivery or pick-up from its Isetan Scotts flagship.
Packaged in box sleeves of 8 (S$22+), 12 (S$32+) and 16 (S$40+) are a colourful exploration of reinvented småkager. In rotation is the blackcurrant dusted Banana centred with salted caramel, the Milk for an oreo-inspired chocolate cookie sandwiched with vanilla buttercream and the mainstay Raspberry for jam-wedged buttery vanilla cookies.
Leckerbaer - the leading Danish confectionery burst onto Copenhagen’s vibrant dining scene in 2014, prompting a culinary revival of the Danish butter cookie or, as the locals call it, småkager.
Created by Jakob and Gabi Mogensen, two pastry chefs with extensive experience in the Scandinavian Michelin-Star scene, the duo reinvented the traditional treat with an eagerness to discover novel flavours, techniques and presentations.
Expect a unique collection of awe-inspiring flavour profiles, occasionally with seasonal Nordic ingredients, in their ever-expanding list of småkager, tarts and cakes. April 2020 marks another milestone for Leckerbaer with its overseas debut in Singapore, bringing their modern and visual approach to Danish traditions and culture to Orchard Road.
