Home-baker Pomedochi (@pomedochi) is next in the line-up of home-based bakers to take up residency at Baker X. Until 4 February 2023, the resident baker will be offering an array of thoughtfully curated artisanal tarts, along with handmade mochis.

For baker Caroline Ching Xin Yin, she believes that food brings back beautiful memories of unforgettable encounters and makes great gestures of appreciation for others through gifting. Incorporating her passion for food and art, Caroline finds a great sense of satisfaction and joy when she sees her ideas come to life and being enjoyed at celebrations.

Made from scratch with premium ingredients, look forward to her bestsellers such as the refreshing Lemon Yuzu Meringue Tart ($9), featuring a base of lemon frangipane and lemon curd, topped with yuzu meringue and yuzu jelly dots. The Pistachio Raspberry Tart ($9) highlights layers of nutty pistachio crémeux, sweet raspberry coulis jelly, pistachio Chantilly, finished with crushed pistachio bits and raspberry halves.

Also available are the Araguani Moonlight Tart ($9) and Noel Tart ($9), with the former filled with Valrhona 72 percent Araguani Dark Chocolate Ganache. The Noel Tart sees a pâte sablé lined with a layer of white chocolate ganache, studded with cranberry bits. It is then embellished with a pomegranate jelly centre, surrounded by a piping of yogurt cream cheese trimming and crowned with a white and red chewy milk nougat.

Pomedochi also offers bite-sized Petit Tarts ($2.50 for 3.5cm) and exclusively at Baker X, all tarts are available for individual purchase. Perfect for gifting or celebrations, one may also opt for the customised Tart Gift Box ($36 for 4 tarts).

Gifting is also made easy during the Lunar New Year season with Pomedochi’s Mango Mochi Pebbles. Featuring fresh mango wrapped in soft and chewy handmade mochi, the delightful treat is available for individual purchase ($4.50 each) or as a set of five in the Mango Mochi Gift Box ($22).
