Leckerbaer, a Copenhagen-based pastry shop known for modern interpretations of Danish cookies announces the opening of its official flagship in Singapore.

Nestled along the bustling Keong Saik locale in a conserved shophouse, the new flagship is poised as an oasis where pastry lovers and café seekers can escape into cosiness albeit briefly, over a delightful assortment of signature småkagers in festive flavours, small bakes and open-faced sandwiches in an inviting Scandinavian-inspired setting.

Despite initial concerns of launching amidst a pandemic, Leckerbaer’s proposition of introducing hygge – the Danish mentality of living in cosiness and contentment – through hand-crafted tiny worlds of delight took off. With its presentation of delicately sized, aesthetically pleasing and surprisingly balanced flavours all packaged into boxes of discoveries, it was an easy winner for a thoughtful, uplifting gift.
