Housed along the ground floor of Pacific Plaza, Mr Holmes Bakehouse Singapore is designed as a pink and white pastry wonderland that plays to the pleasing aesthetic the brand is widely known for. Through playful manipulation of its signature croissant dough comes the brand-synonymous Cruffins (all at $5.80) – essentially rolled hybrids baked in muffin trays. When baked, the result is a puffed-up pastry that is layered and flaky outside while remaining gloriously moist inside.

Mr. Holmes Bakehouse founded in San Fransisco is now coming to Singapore. Not in the mood to load up with carbs? Other options include the classic Pulled Pork Sandwich. It costs $16 but is more than worth it. Imagine layers of shredded braised pork, fontina cheese, arugula salad in zesty lime dressing mashed in between two slices of deliciously golden toasted focaccia bread. I’m salivating already.
