Just transferred to SG from Indonesia three months ago. kiasuplumber was recommended by friend when my toilet bowl leaked crazy. fortunate me because when i called very early morning,they sent me people right away to check and repair. they fixed some valves and parts of the bowl. i thought i need new toilet bowl,but they were kind to tell me they can repair it.they did not take advantage so i think they can be trusted.will use them again
I don't know how legit the negative review is but I am wondering why someone would say that to kiasuplumber. I have been availing of their services for several times since I transferred to a new apartment. First was when I asked them to install water heater on my first week in the apartment and the pros who came to my house were very kind. They even gave me tips on how to avoid problems on my shower. they explained that it may not heat up right away because of the plumbing structure in my apartment and some other things they did not need to explain but they did. I hired them again to replace my rotting shower screen adn they did what should be done. Now I have a plumber to stick with for good!
We had a plumbing emergency today (clogged kitchen sink) and based on the reviews on the internet we called up "kiasuplumber". They promptly sent us a plumber to help. However, the plumber who took up the job turned out to be extremely unprofessional. Without even taking a good look he straightaway quoted a fee of SGD 200 for using a motorized drain snake to clean up the clog without even taking a proper look at the drain pipe or assessing the severity of the clog. He did not even bring along a plunger to test if that simple solution would work. I wasn't convinced to shell out 200 SGD without even trying out a simpler option first. I decided to send him back by paying the transport charges. And glad that I did. My handyman came to our rescue and he did the job in 3 minutes flat. All he used was a simple rubber plunger and 3 solid pushes to the plunger to clear the clog completely.
Having said that, I was extremely disappointed with the level of un-professionalism the plumber displayed by trying to rip off a customer knowing very well the kind of emergency he was in.
