Are you looking for an exclusive spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy serious fun? Introducing the Singapore Swimming Club (SSC). It's not just a club; it's a lifestyle and community and will quickly become your new favourite place away from home. Main Image Club Marketing & Communications Micky Foo with Expat Choice reporters Douglas Peris.

Don't worry if you're new to the city or country. The Club is an excellent place for locals and expats, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I had a tour of the facilities recently and was blown away by the size and facilities offered by the Club.  Imagine this. An oasis in the Tanjong Rhu precinct and minutes from the city centre, with 30,000 square meters of lush, landscaped gardens. This is the Singapore Swimming Club, the largest non-golfing recreational club in the country, and it's been welcoming folks like you since 1894.

Are you feeling sporty? You'll be spoiled for choice here. They've got badminton and tennis courts, table tennis, squash courts, billiards rooms with regulation-size tables, a gym, and even a 10-lane bowling alley. And that's not all. You'll be pleased that the Club constantly evolves to meet its members' needs. With upcoming futsal, cricket, and archery facilities, it's clear that the Club is always looking to enhance its experiences. Did I mention the two 50-meter swimming pools and kids' learning pools? What would a swimming club be without swimming pools?

Here's something I didn't know. The club is a culinary heaven with 11 F&B outlets catering to every palate. You can enjoy everything from casual snacks to fine international dining. Try the local fare at 'The Palms', or for some Western cuisine, head to 'Jackson Miller', where you can indulge in wine tasting and fine dining. 'The Jade Phoenix Restaurant' is your spot for some Asian flavours, and don't miss the 'Poolside Cafe' for refreshing drinks and bites.

The Singapore Swimming Club is all about family. They regularly organise recreational and social activities suitable for members of all ages, from music workshops, Bollyfit classes, coding classes for children, and self-defence classes. If self-care is your priority, the Edes Spa provides a magic space for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Hairven salon offers a range of services for both ladies and men, including haircuts, wash and blow-dry, perming, colouring and various treatments. The Ben Sports Therapy Center is there to soothe your muscles after a day of activities, and if you feel like pampering yourself, the Lacbar mani/pedi station is just around the corner.

Need to host a big event? The ballroom can cater to up to 400 people. They also offer breakout rooms for corporate team-building and off-site meeting activities. You can use the co-working space if you need to finish some work. The co-working space is ideal to get some work done without straying too far from leisure. Comfortable, quiet, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, it's a workspace that doesn't feel like one.

Some facilities are open to non-members, but joining the club’s 13,000 members gives you access to everything the club has to offer. Need to find out more? Then meet Micky Foo, SSC’s friendly Business Development Manager. He's on a mission to attract more members and has various membership options for locals and expats, from corporate to family to term memberships. The professional staff at each facility is dedicated to making your time at the Club an absolute pleasure. They are the heart of the Club, always ready to assist and enhance your experience.

Make the Singapore Swimming Club your new go-to destination. It's a place that enhances your life and adds to your happiness. It's a place that you can call your second home.
