What led you to study happiness, and how did it affect your journey?
Masuko (CEO): A tragedy with my best buddy gave me years of anxiety about happiness. He committed suicide despite a seemingly perfect life. This made me wonder what happiness is and if I'm secretly unhappy. I tried hallucinogens, meditated, and worked in a mental hospital to discover answers.
What led you to pizza in your search for happiness?
Masuko (CEO): A lucky trip. A friend requested that I build a wood-fired pizza oven in 2005, starting a wonderful metamorphosis. We invited friends to pizza parties and taught pizza-making. Pizza united people, made them joyful, and brought peace.
What fascinates and inspires you about pizza?
Masuko (CEO): We liked pizza's simplicity and versatility. Pizza can be topped with nearly anything and make people happy. It was clear that simple triggers like pizza parties could make people happy. I believed these modest triggers could provide a taste of deeper, longer-lasting bliss and inner tranquilly.
How did your travels inspire "Make the World Smile for Peace"?
Masuko (CEO): My struggle to find meaning led me to the thought that by making someone else happy, I could feel happier and more fulfilled. I focused on "inner peace" because I realised that addressing inner issues may make the world more peaceful. The idea of using pizza to find inner peace and long-term happiness inspired "Make the World Smile for Peace."
Why do you emphasise "inner peace," and how might it bring international peace?
The CEO, Masuko, believes that everyone has inner serenity, regardless of circumstances. When we accept our inner peace, we show others compassion, caring, and attention. When globalised, this positive cycle can promote peace. Pizza restaurants can't do this alone, but they can inspire happiness and remind people of their inner serenity and the potential for a better world.
Pizza 4P's in your vision?
Masuko (CEO): Pizza 4P's helps us "Make the World Smile for Peace." Customer satisfaction is our goal, reminding them of their inner calm and long-term contentment. We believe that helping people attain inner peace can make the world more peaceful. We invite others to share this vision, which is for all of humanity.
How will you achieve your vision, and how does everyone contribute?
Masuko (CEO): Working together to achieve our objective can improve people's lives. We want a happy world for everyone. We shared this big boat for the long trip. "Make the World Smile for Peace" is a team effort, and we hope others will join us.
