Voices of Singapore (VOS) is delighted to announce that Dr. Darius Lim, composer, conductor, and Artistic Director of Voices of Singapore (VOS), has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM). Dr. Darius's appointment to the Board of Directors, alongside 14 other global choral leaders, signifies the recognition of his expertise and dedication to the choral community.

The appointment follows a rigorous election process conducted by the IFCM, which took place between 1 March and 1 April 2023. The results were revealed during the IFCM's General Assembly held on 25 April at the 2023 World Symposium on Choral Music in Istanbul. This event gathers choral practitioners from around the world once every three years to shape the future of choral music.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this appointment, Dr. Darius Lim shares, "I am thrilled about the opportunity to promote Singaporean and Asian choral cultures to the world and to effect positive change through choral singing. Collaborating with my fellow board members, many of whom I have long admired for their trailblazing and inspirational work in their respective countries, will be an exciting endeavour."

Dr. Darius Lim's tenure as a Board Member of the IFCM commences immediately and extends over the next three years. His appointment represents a significant milestone not only for Voices of Singapore but also for the recognition of Singaporean and Asian choral traditions on the global stage. VOS is immensely proud of Dr. Darius's achievements and looks forward to the positive impact he will bring to the IFCM and the choral community worldwide.
