Next in line to take over the residency at Baker X is Microgram (@microgram.sg). From 4 to 31 July 2023, the resident baker will be presenting an array of artisanal layered cakes, inspired by iconic local flavours.
Home-based bakery Microgram was founded in 2020 by Bryan Tay, an aspiring self-taught home baker driven by the passion to transform his love for cakes into a fulfilling full-time profession. Having left behind a successful corporate career, Bryan embarked on a journey to start his own home bakery business, specialising in layered cakes redolent of beloved Singaporean flavours.
Committed to delivering artisanal cakes of exceptional taste and visual appeal, Bryan uses the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Microgram first launched with their signature Ondeh Ondeh Cake and has since expanded its assortment of sweet confections.

Ondeh Ondeh ($7.50 per slice): Three layers of moist pandan-infused sponge, lavished with gula melaka. The aromatic treat is encased in a generous coat of grated coconut, accentuated with a drizzle of gula melaka syrup.
Pandan Taro Coconut Cake ($8 per slice): A delightful combination of pandan sponge and taro paste, encased in light coconut cream and topped with refreshing coconut jelly and toasted coconut.
Pineapple Coconut Cake ($8 per slice): A piña colada-inspired cake with three layers of soft vanilla sponge, filled with caramelised pineapple compote and coconut cream. The cake is decorated with two-tone pineapple-infused chantilly cream and topped with fragrant toasted coconut.
