You can currently check out a Vinyl Station record cabinet. Visit Rathdowne Records in Northcote, Melbourne, and take a look at this Vinyl Station record cabinet in store.
Vinyl Station makes record players with a layout that makes it simple to play vinyl. Since there were no alternatives, the first Vinyl Station was created and constructed in our Geelong workshop in 2022. All of the record cabinets that were offered in furniture stores and internet retailers were low, making it difficult to choose and play vinyl. Therefore, we created the ideal record cabinet that provided each of the following qualities in equal measure:
- Visual style
- Functionality-driven design: simple operation at waist height
- Sustainable components
- Vinyl record storage, a turntable, an amplifier, and bookshelf speakers
With every Vinyl Station record cabinet, visually attractive materials, sustainability, and usefulness are crucial. To create a design that makes playing vinyl simple, materials like recycled HDPE plastic and recovered Australian hardwood were sourced.
This will encourage you to listen to more music. Reclaimed messmate and later reclaimed Tasmanian Blackwood, both Australian hardwoods, were used to make the first Vinyl Stations. In order to promote sustainability, we exclusively purchase salvaged wood from reliable sources. Reclaimed wood from old growth woods is never something we would purchase.
Recycled HDPE post-consumer plastic was found and successfully tested in 2022. With recycled plastic, a variety of colour combinations, including custom colour combinations, were possible.
Flip, play and chill is what this Vinyl Station is designed for. Plus, it's made from 100% recycled plastic. If you have several pieces of hi-fi equipment or wide turntable, a specific amount of floor space, or a particular colour or colour mix that’s required to make an impact in your home, please reach out via email at boris@vinylstation.com.au
