Relaxing in Singapore's Most Comfortable Swimming Pools

Published - 22 May 2018, Tuesday

And what does hot and dry weather call for (besides an ice cold drink)? A dip in the pool, of course. So with that said, here is a list of top picks of Singapore Pools.

#1. MARINA BAY SANDS

MBS

When it comes to pools in Singapore, no list is complete without mentioning the infinity pool sitting atop Marina Bay Sands. After all, it is the pool that put Singapore on the world map. The infinity pool boasts an incredible view of Singapore’s cityscape, and if you’re into heights, feel free to go right up to the edge and peer over. Need I say more?

#2. THE WESTIN HOTEL

The Westin

The Westin Hotel is a relatively new addition to Singapore’s growing number of hotels. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also have their own infinity pool. Now, it’s not quite as impressive (or as high up, for that matter) as Marina Bay Sands, but it is definitely quieter and has a pretty great view of the south coast of Singapore. Cool off with a dip in the evening, and then head on downstairs to the gastropub Cook & Brew for a bite and drinks.

#3. CAPELLA SINGAPORE

Capella

Capella is that one place that comes to mind when you think quiet, luxurious and exclusive. Now they have three pools (yep, three, not just one) for guests staying in the suites, and also private pools in each and every single one of their villas and manors. Surrounded by lush foliage, they provide the ultimate getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

#4. PARKROYAL ON PICKERING

Parkroyal

If you want to stay within the city but still immerse yourself in greenery while cooling off, the pool at the eco-friendly PARKROYAL on Pickering is your place. I know what you’re thinking, it’s another infinity pool. But the infinity pool trend has really picked up over the years, and for good reason: they are gorgeous and people love them, myself included! What sets this pool apart is the unique poolside bird cage cabanas. Take a dip in the pool, and then retire to one of the huts lined with plush cushions with a beer or cocktail. Not at all a bad way to relax and de-stress at all.

#5. W HOTEL

W Hotel

Okay, since we’ve covered infinity pools, here’s one that’s just plain ol’ fun. The huge pool at W Hotel suits young couples and friends best, with its’ floating beds, music, and even table tennis. Yes, you read right. Table tennis in the water. This pool has that perfect laid back vibe for the young, or those young at heart. Oh, did I also mention, the pool is open 24 hours? That, to me, is what makes this pool stand out from the rest.
