Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden

Load yourself up like a pack mule with sun cream, hats, mozzie repellant, swim gear and water toys and head to the Botanic Gardens for a fab morning (afternoons can get a little crowded). Tinies will love the water play area (there’s no actual swimming involved — just a lot of getting wet!) and bigger kids can play in the tree house or sand pit.

The idea of a national garden in Singapore started in 1822 when Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore and a keen naturalist, developed the first ‘Botanical and Experimental Garden’ at Fort Canning.

Finish with lunch at Food for Tots by the main entrance and pat yourself on the back for a morning well-planned.
