Everyone has their own way of feeling creative, some listen to music, some like to dream, some meditate, swim, run or just simply enjoying nature to conjure great ideas!

Creativity aids the kind of fulfillment that goes beyond being happy. Creativity is the source of inspiration. It is the celebration of infinite possibilities and potentials and is best expressed through Art. Carolyn Law (pictured below) founded ARThaus with the aim to create a space where adults and children were able to discover, explore and express freely the creativity in themselves in a stress free and cozy environment. Carolyn also wanted to provide the best instruction with close guidance from experienced educators, which she has achieved. The school welcome all art enthusiasts both adult and children - and offers a fulfilling and enriching experience for all individuals.

Carolyn Law graduated with her Masters in Fine Arts in 2012. She is the founder and programme planner of ARThaus, a painting studio for art enthusiasts from all walks of life. For the past 15 years, she has been teaching both children and adults in various schools and now in her studio - ARThaus.

Carolyn’s current works suggest the expression of self, the intricacies and complexities of one’s identity. Her works are self-reflective and self-reflexive as she seeks to unravel all that makes up her identity. Her works also address today’s fast-paced society and questions the possibility of a better-appreciated life in contemporary city living. The collision of ‘old’ and ‘new’ culture in her paintings is an apparent illustration of the role culture plays in the present. Her works are distinctively vibrant, modern with her trademark gold embellishments and a staggering amount of detail paid to every individual masterful work.

She dwells in the reconstruction of a symbol of wholeness and completion, an equal balance of the spectrum of colors, the spectrum of one’s identity is convoluted and complex but all to be appreciated. She pensively chooses her subjects and weaves together her philosophical beliefs and life experiences in every of her paintings.

Carolyn’s newest works portray the prodigiously scintillated sky set as a backdrop to the ever abiding mountains. She explores means to express her innermost desire for peace among the mountains — strong and solitary — a perfect symbolism of the quietude she finds when embraced in nature.
