East Coast Park is one of Singapore's most treasured urban getaways, offering an invigorating and exciting diversity of sporting, dining and recreational activities.

Families and friends can sit back, relax and enjoy picnics under the swaying coconut palms, Casuarinas and Ketapangs, or have a fun stay at the holiday chalet available in the park.

For those looking for action, there are myriad sporting activities such as beach volleyball, cycling, cable skiing and various water sports as well as an Xtreme SkatePark.

A slightly lesser known venue, but equally beautiful if you ask me, is the West Coast Park. What better way to spend your day off than at an amphitheatre surrounded by a mass of green where you may risk running into spare kites, owing to the families enjoying the activity. Pack some sandwiches (they always go perfectly well with a flask of lemonade if you’re out on a picnic). If you fancy other eating options though, then you can even head over to the McDonalds which is a stone’s throw from West Coast Park.

Are you enjoying the sound of East Coast Park so far? Make it a weekend thing by camping up in their designated areas with a gorgeous view. You can then go ahead and partake in several activities like barbecuing, fishing, photography, water sports, and many more, including those listed here. However, watching the stars at night and waking up to see the sunrise is our favourite part of tenting up here!

Singapore’s East Coast Park has a beautiful stretch of 12.5 kilometres for you to cycle or skate and take in the scenic views of the coastline as you zip past it. The cycling zone is even divided into learners and advanced zones for convenience and is a super-fun way to see the park.

Packing loads of fun for the family right from the tiny tots and the teens to the parents, East Coast Park is the perfect location for picnics and activities.

You can have a barbecue on the beach, enjoy cycling in the dedicated Cyclist Park, tent up and enjoy camping, or simply take your kids to the large Children’s Playground. The adults can enjoy some fishing, photography and water sports.

Love the breeze and cycling through the routes. Hawker has the a variety of local favourites.. Parkland Green is where one may chill for some beer or wine, certain restaurants have live music. Take a stroll down the jetty and watch people catching fish, prawns sometimes crabs and squids. Just note the congestion which happens during dinner time at the hawker centre and weekends.

You truly can't beat East Coast for proper exercise let alone the long pathways and all types of available sporting activities. not to mention the bars and restaurants along this long stretch!

I love to go to East Coast Park (ECP). I usually go to the East Coast Lagoon Food Village with my family for dinner. It gets very crowded during dinner time, so go earlier to secure a seat! The seafood there is amazing. You probably need to go there a few times to know which stall sells better quality seafood. I personally buy from the stalls that are further away from the beach as I find their seafood to be cheaper and fresher. You can actually spend a whole day at ECP as there are a lot of activities for you to do. There's cycling, roller-blading, skating and skiing etc. Great place for a family day outing.
