Hanky Buddies introduces a new collection of reusable face masks, featuring four fun and colourful designs, in its continued effort to reduce paper waste. Launched since November 2018, the homegrown brand is Singapore’s first online hanky retail store.

“As we are finding ways to keep ourselves safe during this time, let’s be reminded of how the pandemic is impacting our environment too. From disposable face masks to takeaway meal boxes, we are generating paper and plastic waste at a much faster rate than ever before! We want to encourage our buddies to find ways to reduce, reuse and recycle, as much as possible,” says Loo Limay, Co-Owner of Hanky Buddies.
The newly launched face masks are priced at S$14.95 each, and feature four different designs (see images above), including popular prints from Hanky Buddies’ past hanky collections. Only a limited 25 masks are available per design. All masks are produced from 100% combed cotton – which means they are extremely soft and comfortable to wear – and come with adjustable straps around the ears, as well as a filter pocket and complimentary PM2.5 filter. The masks are also machine-washable and colour-fast.
Hanky Buddies was established in November 2018 by buddies Ivy Woo and Loo Limay. Armed with a mission to reduce paper and plastic waste generated from the use of tissue, the duo launched Hanky Buddies to make hankies cool again. Today, Hanky Buddies has extended its product line to include reusable face masks, keeping their buddies safe, while continuing their efforts to protect the trees.
