Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s Beau the Bee

A Summer of Honey With Beau the Bee

Beau the Bee is inspired by the oldest emblem used by the sovereigns of France. Symbolising power, hard work, tenacity, industriousness and regeneration, the Bee was an icon that once graced royal fabrics and furniture. Now at Maison Sofitel Singapore City Centre, the endearing mascot is a celebration of Sofitel’s French heritage and Singapore’s enterprising spirit – stylised in the traditional colours and appearance of a bee, but with a pair of sparkly wings to capture the spirit of magic and wonder, just like how the maison promises to curate a mesmerising experience like no other. Beau the Bee can be seen lounging around the hotel, at the arrival lobby, as well as the plush couches of 1864, accompanying guests on their afternoon gatherings.

A Summer of Honey: Afternoon Tea

An afternoon tea experience elevated with seasonal summer ingredients and premium honey sourced from various regions of the world bring a sweet summertime to 1864. Beginning with a selection of dainty savouries accompanied with honey elements, highlights include Truffle Brie Cheese and French Lavender Honey on Croffle, Crab Kueh Pie Tee with Yuzu and Honey Cream, and Honey Glazed Duck Salad with Fennel Pollen on Tartlet, where the fennel pollen adds flavours of summer to each bite with notes of licorice and citrus. Not to be missed as well is Smoked Salmon on Bellini with Caviar and Bee Pollen, featuring bee pollen, a superfood that inserts a chewy, chalky dimension of honey flavour to the dish.
