This May Smoke & Mirrors is delighted to announce their inclusion in the Singapore Cocktail Festival and an exciting line-up of international guest shifts happening in the week of the Singapore Cocktail Festival in May.

This year, Smoke & Mirrors is proud to join in as one of the participating bars for the Singapore Cocktail Festival's Village from 5 to 7 May 2023. In partnership with iconic gin makers MONKEY 47, Bar Manager (in training) Mel Chavez presents Bread and Butter, a delectably rich and creamy Buttered Monkey 47, perfectly balanced pineapple liqueur, Barley Syrup, topped with a zesty twist of lemon juice for a refreshing kick.

An ode to his bread and butter - bartending, this drink and two other cocktails, the well-balanced and herbaceous Breakfast Negroni and the zesty and refreshing Sloe Fizz, will be available at Smoke & Mirrors from 5 May to 21 May 2023. 

Guest Shift with The House Collective

In conjunction with Singapore Cocktail Festival, Smoke & Mirrors is also hosting The House Collective for a bar takeover shift, featuring four of their finest bartenders as follows, 

SM x THC - Sailisterra Bar

A sommelier and bartender aficionado, Operations Manager at Hong Kong’s Salisterra Bar, Gail Lanorias’ extensive knowledge of beverages is displayed in her tequila-based cocktail, Salty Storm, inspired by China’s 7-Up’s Salty Lime.

SM x THC - Union Bar

UNION’s Head of Bars, Harry Zhang, brings his innovative and inventive flair combination in Frugal Hemingway, a zesty and fruity rum tipple amplified with grapefruit, lime, plum and tomato. 

SM x THC - Cafe Gray Deluxe

Head of Bars at Cafe Gray Deluxe, Matthew Halls’ travels around the globe has inspired Cheese Teh Tarik, a parmesan-infused bourbon concoction elevated with cold brew tea, pistachio orgeat and sweet jaggery.   

SM x THC - Jing Bar

William Zhang, Head Bartender of Chengdu’s Jing Bar, flexes his craft and skill with Eco Rouge, a unique shaken tipple drawing roots from red wine, Thai Montenegro, and Raspberry Vinegar. 

The talented bartenders will be on duty May 7, 2023, from 8 pm to midnight, showcasing a distinct taste of their bars only at Smoke & Mirrors.

Guest Shift with Sora Bar

Bob Louison & Udom Chhoun ​​​​​​​

Director of Bars, Bob Louison and Bar Manager, Udom Chhoun from Sora Bar in Rosewood Phnom Penh will close the Cocktail Festival weekend guest shift line-up amidst Smoke & Mirrors’ panoramic city skyline views on May 8, 2023, from 7 pm to 11 pm.  

A well-established hospitality veteran with over 20 years of experience under his belt, He invites you to sip on the four cocktail experiences. Highlighting Cambodian native ingredients in spirituous toasted rice tipple, Jewel Princess, satiny smooth and sweet Shapeshifter, Kampot Pepper-infused The Fox and the Leaf, and banana-focused Birds of Prey. 

Guest Shift with Wishbone Bar

Following an exhilarating weekend, Smoke & Mirrors will take part in the City Takeover with a guest shift from Head Bartender, Koco Widyatno of Wishbone, Indonesia on 16 May 2023. Immerse in his unique flair and experiences honed from skills picked up on his travels around the world. He will be bringing along a taste of Indonesia’s modern-day speakeasy with his high-energy and innovatively spirited drinks.
