Destination rooftop bar Smoke & Mirrors is partnering with Bombay Sapphire and Aberfeldy to introduce an exclusive menu for June and July, 2022. Titled ‘Art of Botanicals’ and ‘Barrels & Bees’, this partnership offers two initiatives to reinforce reconnection with sustainable agriculture and biodiversity.
Smoke & Mirrors has created a herbaceous menu featuring Bombay Sapphire gin to reconnect with nature and promote the conservation of limited natural resources. The multi-sensory experience includes a botanical Garnish Garden at the venue where guests can hand pick locally grown greens to elevate their cocktail.
Drinks include the Rosemary Gimlet (gin, homemade rosemary cordial), G & Pea (butterfly blue pea infused gin and tonic) and Gin Basil Smash (gin, fresh basil, citrus). Each cocktail is priced at SGD 25++.
Guests are encouraged to personalise their Bombay Sapphire cocktails or be surprised with a bespoke tipple expertly crafted by the bartenders, with a choice of greens from the Garnish Garden.
Examples of sustainable touches can be found throughout the menu display, which also features edible greens in the constructed garden. Some of the Smoke & Mirrors team will also be donning aprons hand-sewn by a local seamstress using repurposed materials from scrap fabric and old clothes.
Working with local beekeepers, the Smoke & Mirrors team has incorporated locally sourced unifloral honey that perfectly complements Aberfeldy’s whisky in an experience titled Barrels & Bees (SGD 68++). Championing eco-awareness and increasing support and appreciation for local harvest and bee conservation.
The menu includes a journey from a 12-Years Single Malt paired with Cliff Honey, and two cocktails, the Old Fashioned with Durian Honey and Angostura Bitters and the Honey Highball with Tea Tree Honey. Guests can also sample taste a dram of its silky smooth 21-Year-Old Single Malt to complete the exquisite tasting.
The menu is available exclusively at Smoke & Mirrors from 2 June 2022 to 31 July 2022.
