Spring is a joyous season of renewal and new beginnings. Celebrate the transition of season with light, delicate and refreshing flavours after the Lunar New Year’s hearty fare.
From 1 March to 30 April 2022, Yàn presents a 6-course Spring Treasures Menu ($68++ per person) that evokes the refreshing essence of springtime through a medley of light, harmonious Cantonese flavours, paired with Yàn’s blend of 8 Treasure Tea.
A symphony of exquisite Cantonese dishes is curated with tea pairing in mind. The fragrant 8 Treasure Tea heightens the enjoyment of each dish by highlighting different nuances of flavours in the menu. Like a garden in bloom, Yàn 8 Treasure Tea charms with a harmonious blend of flowers, teas and herbs such as safflower petals, red rose petals, goji berries, mango flakes, green, white and oolong tea.
Highlights include a soulful Braised Seafood Broth with Crabmeat and Scallops that brims with robust flavours extracted from crabs, prawns, and clams. Relish the Deep-fried Salt and Chilli Pork Rib accompanied by sliced cucumbers. Each sip of the 8 Treasure Tea accentuates the deep flavours of the pork rib that is steamed, deep-fried, then wok-fried with a medley of aromatics such as garlic, spring onions and chilli.
The menu also features a refreshing dessert – Chilled Honey Chrysanthemum and Snow Fungus with Homemade 8 Treasure Tea Pudding. Chilled chrysanthemum tea, lightly sweetened with honey, is paired with house-made 8 Treasure Tea jelly, snow fungus, and wolfberries. Yàn’s Spring Treasures Menu is available daily for dine-in during lunch and dinner (11.30am to 2.30pm; 6pm to 10pm) from 1 March to 30 April 2022.
Complimentary 8 Treasure Tea is served with orders of the menu. Yàn’s 8 Treasure Tea (50g loose leaf) is also available for retail at $22+.
