Next in line to take up residency at Baker X is The Good Cupcakes Company (@the_good_cupcakes). From 30 September to 19 November 2023, self-taught home-baker Josephine will be offering an array of beautiful yet low-calorie treats. Having learnt about the detriment of refined carbohydrates at a young age, Josephine Poh was determined to create visually appealing guilt-free confections without compromising on taste.
She had spent months experimenting and developing her own proprietary recipes, handcrafting each component from scratch. In 2020, Josephine launched The Good Cupcakes Company with her signature 150 Calorie Cupcakes. She has since expanded her repertoire of exquisite bakes to include customised Bespoke Cakes, Boxed Cakes and Shortbread.
During Josephine’s residency, delight in her array of beautiful yet low-calorie treats such as 150 Calorie Cupcakes (from $4) - rich chocolate, aromatic Earl Grey or vanilla strawberry cupcakes artfully decorated with hand-piped buttercream, offered in Classic, Floral and Puppy; Shortbread (from $6) - eggless, melt-in-the-mouth handcrafted cookies boasting fragrant buttery notes, presented in various intricately hand-painted Puppy and Kitty designs; Korean Bean Paste Cookies ($58 for a box of 6) - making its debut at Baker X, these crisp cookies are adorned with meticulously hand-piped Korean Bean Paste blossoms and are available in Earl Grey, Matcha and Vanilla Bean, offering a delightful balance of textures and flavours.
Exclusively at Baker X, Josephine will be hosting a complimentary 20-minute live demonstration every Sunday at 3pm. During these sessions, she will share her expertise in hand-piping intricate floral designs onto her signature baked goods. Attendees will also enjoy a special 10% discount off every box of Korean Bean Paste Cookies or a Box of 4 Floral Cupcakes purchased after each session (a limited-time offer that cannot be combined with any other promotions).
