Mother’s Day celebrates and honours maternal strength and love. Chef Damian D’Silva, who sought to learn a wealth of heritage recipes from remarkable women in his life, launches an Afternoon Tea ($38++ for 2 persons) at Rempapa on Mother’s Day weekend – his way of paying tribute to these wonderful matriarchs.
Available from 3pm to 5pm on 7 & 8 May 2022, the set menu offers a specially curated assortment of five savouries and five kuehs that embraces the multi-cultural flavours of Singapore heritage, accompanied with two servings of coffee, tea, mocktail, or soft drink. The Afternoon Tea will be available for idyllic respites during the same time every weekend in the months of May and June.
Rempapa’s savoury snacks presents flavours from Chinese, Peranakan, Eurasian, and Indian kitchens. Relish highlights like the Naked Curry Puff featuring beef striploin and potatoes cooked with Rempapa's house-blend meat curry spices; Chicken Debal Slider, Rempapa’s local take on quintessential Eurasian sliders; and Kueh Pie Tee, a well-loved Peranakan snack.
Indulge in an array of heritage kuehs, including signatures such as the Kosui, a melt-in-the-mouth morsels of gula melaka, tapioca, and freshly grated coconut; Salat, a pandan custard pudding on top of a glutinous rice cake; and the chewy and fragrant Bingka.
Savour the multi-cultural flavours of Singapore, encapsulated in a wonderful afternoon tea spread of savouries and kuehs at Rempapa.
