Wine aficionados will find themselves spoilt for choice at LPB Market, the newest retail corner housed within KOB. Offering gourmet groceries sourced from France and Europe, LPB Market remains open for visitors to walk in and peruse a seasonal selection of over 50 different types of artisanal cheeses along with other quality products, including charcuterie, fresh dairy and meat, and award-winning wines to bring home.

The newest iteration of KOB serves up classic Belgian specialties and a tempting mix of French-Belgian brunch favourites while offering premium groceries by LPB Market that are available both on retail and for enjoyment at the restaurant. Pre and Post Circuit Breakers, residents living in the Robertson Quay and surrounding neighbourhoods, and those looking for a weekday brunch spot will now have another grocery and dining option as KOB’s operating hours have been extended to 10am -11pm and serves brunch on weekdays from 10.00 - 4.00pm

To accentuate the dining experience, the new front and back of house teams will be led by Restaurant Manager Francis Poh and Head Chef Lai Jia Yi, both of whom have been handpicked by Stroobant himself.
This ‘grocerant’ experience will offer guests the exciting option and convenience of an all-in-one destination, where they can shop for their favourite produce while also enjoying a choice of continental brunch classics,“ shares Emmanuel Stroobant, Owner of Kingdom of Belgians. Formerly known as La Petite Boutique, LPB Market follows their current expansion into local and international markets.

Located within KOB, the gourmet grocery corner features a rotating selection of more than 50 different types of artisanal cheeses along with other quality products, including charcuterie, fresh dairy and meat, and award-winning wines.
“When we first opened La Petite Boutique in a shophouse on Kensington Park Road in Serangoon Gardens, it was with the chief aim of showcasing high-quality food & wine products from our home country. Seven years on, with the opening of our newest concept within Kingdom of Belgians on Robertson Quay, we are delighted at the prospect of being able to reach out to more consumers in the city area,” shares Morgane Foucaud, Owner of LPB Market.
A One-Stop Shop Sourcing their cheeses from small farmers in France and across Europe, famed signatures from LPB Market include the highly popular Truffle Brie ($22.40/150g), where decadent mascarpone and aromatic black truffles are sandwiched between Brie de Meaux, resulting in flavours that dance across the palate.

Turophiles can also look forward to rare artisanal cheeses such as the Camembert du Champ Secret, a Single Farm AOP camembert produced in such limited quantities that reservations must be placed with the farm many weeks in advance.
Complementing the cheeses, LPB Market also retails a selection of crackers such as the twice-baked Toast for Cheese Crackers ($14.40), available in a variety of fragrant flavours like Apricots, Pistachios and Sunflower Seeds; Dates, Hazelnuts and Pumpkin Seeds; as well as Cherries, Almonds, and Linseeds. What’s also highly recommended as a snack option: the buttery French biscuits from Canto and Les Délices de Marie.
Those with a sweet tooth will gravitate towards premium chocolates from Le Comptoir de Mathilde, a chocolaterie in the South of France. For a fun treat, try the le chocolat à casser ($38.00), or “chocolate to break”, where the chocolate tablet is broken with an accompanying wooden mallet. Available in an assortment of flavours, from caramelised almond with hazelnuts to colourful milk chocolate sweets and cranberries, these unique chocolate boxes make for the perfect gift.
Gourmet products to bring home include Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil ($19.90) from Olive Groves, a collective of olive oil sommeliers and producers with a passion for quality and sustainable farming. Produced from olives picked at the beginning of the harvest season, these “green fruity” olive oils are well-loved for their aromas and wide range of taste profiles.

New Brunch Offerings and a New Team Helming the kitchen is Head Chef Lai Jia Yi, winner of the International Young Chef Olympiad 2018 who has earned his stripes at two Michelin-starred Saint Pierre and Michelin Plate recipient, Pollen. With a strong dedication to detail and an innovative approach to cooking, the youthful chef puts his own personal spin to the Belgian dining experience with every plate. The new brunch menu, available from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm, will see an array of continental-style fare such as the Plat du Jour ($18.00++), where half of a Roasted Spring Chicken is served with bacon and mushroom sauce, a side of Belgian fries, and garden salad.

Perfect for a midday break along the tranquil riverside of Robertson Quay, diners can also graze on the variety of cheese and charcuterie platters (from $18.00++), featuring choice selections from LPB Market that can be enjoyed together with their award-winning wines.
Fresh bread and pastries abound, from the Butter Croissants (from $3.50++) and Sourdough Bread (from $6.00++) that can be enjoyed as it is, dressed up à la Croque Monsieur ($17.00++) or served with Egg Benedict & Salmon Gravlax ($19.00++). Elevating the experience and leading the front-of-house team is newly appointed Restaurant Manager Francis Poh.
With over 20 years of experience in restaurant management and operations at renowned establishments like the Grand Hyatt Singapore, Francis brings his congenial personality and ever-present smile to KOB’s brand of warm hospitality.
