Renowned for its imaginative and transportive afternoon teas, Lobby Lounge whisks one to the heart of Paris with its latest thematic menu. From 15 April to 16 July 2023, Conrad Centennial Singapore’s Lobby Lounge invites guests on a decadent journey to France with its new “A Taste of Paris” afternoon tea.
Hotel Executive Pastry Chef and Master Patissier Richard Chew has curated an artful display of divine desserts and sophisticated savouries inspired by the elegance of Parisian living and the exquisite craftsmanship of French gastronomy.
Reimagining afternoon tea traditions with fine French finesse, the experience is anchored around an eye-catching tower layered with an array of iconic French delicacies.
The Ispahan is a vision of pink perfection featuring fresh raspberries and rose crème between delicate macaron; a creation representative of modern French pastry, it is freshly handcrafted on the same day for the highest quality. Made with equal care and craft is the exquisite Canelé that takes 48 hours to achieve the most authentic texture of a thin, caramelized crust that gives away a soft and custardy center.
In the deft hands of Chef Richard, the classic Mont Blanc cake is beautifully balanced, with the light and buttery short crust complementing the gentle sweetness of earthy chestnuts, while the Mille Feuille is an elegant treat of rich French vanilla cream and mascarpone cheese encased in uniformed layers of buttery pastry. The Tart Au Chocolate, decadently made with salted caramel, Valrhona 64% Manjarin dark chocolate ganache and chocolate crémeux, completes the selection of artisanal French sweets for an indulgent afternoon.
The afternoon tea also includes freshly baked scones that are accompanied by velvety clotted cream and house made wild strawberry jam, as well as French-inspired dishes. Using the finest French Moulard duck, the Duck Leg Confit with Orange and Star Anise Reduction is an odto the classic French recipe, while the Roquefort Crème Brulee tantalizes the palate with a marriage of flavours between the sweetness of the caramelized sugar crust and the savoury richness of blue cheese.
“A Taste of Paris” Afternoon Tea is priced at $49++ per person and is inclusive of a two-hour free flow of Ronnefeldt Tea and Brazilian coffee, with the option to include Lillet Rosé Tonic at $10++ per glass. The afternoon tea is available daily in two seatings: from 1 pm to 3 pm and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
