Liming - the Caribbean concept that embraces the act of sharing good food, drinks and conversation while hanging out with friends - runs deep in the DNA of Lime House Caribbean Restaurant. They have recently rolled out a revamped brunch menu led by Chef Ricardo that features Caribbean classics and street food to provide guests with the same liming experience.

Chef Ricardo has added childhood favourites that remind him of his youth growing up in Jamaica, such as beef Mini Patties which were a daily staple (vegetarian option also available) and Oxtail with Spinners that you can find in a traditional Jamaican cook shop.

Chef Ricardo

Most comforting for Chef is the Vegetable Stamp and Go, a vegetable fritter dish served with mango and flavoured chilli sauce that his grandmother made for him as a young boy to ail his weak appetite when he was ill.

Oxtail with Spinners

Fridays in his household would also include a Flaming Sweet Potato Pudding, that has a pina colada caramel sauce that sweetly ushers in the weekend. And what is brunch without copious amounts of alcohol? The new brunch menu comes with promotions for free flow alcohol or rum cocktails by the bottles for sharing.

Bago Rum

Don’t forget to also try Lime Houses' very own rum, Bago, a blend of predominantly aged dark rums from the Caribbean along with a 23-year-old Asian rum. Be enticed by Bago's nose of tropical fruits like pineapple, coconut, banana and lime with hints of spice and grassy esters.

Stuffed Bakes

Brunch is now available at Lime House Keong Saik & East Coast every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4pm.

Chris Morris named his restaurant after liming, the form of Caribbean recreation that involves robust quantities of alcohol, easy repartee and lively music.

His brainchild brings the cultural recognition and coolness of Trinidad and Tobago to Singapore.

Lime House opened in Chinatown's Keong Siak belt in 2013 and has since expanded with a second presence at East Coast. The atmosphere buoys the room, and the cooking looks to the Caribbean, spectacular in its complexity, flavour, and boldness. Lime House's cocktail menu is full of colourful, fun drinks but its tight focus on the finest expressions of rum, from basic whites to molasses-coloured añejos, is the star. Together, every night is a celebration at Lime House.
