LeVeL33's latest dining experience takes you on a trip through the many different expressions of Chardonnay grapes. The world-renowned urban microbrewery is thrilled to host the first event in its "6 Shades of Grapes" series, which will begin with a painstakingly planned 6-course Chardonnay Dinner on March 21, 2024. This unique evening costs $168++ per person and promises an unparalleled experience of Chardonnay's variety.
Guests will experience a symphony of flavours as each course is masterfully paired with hand-picked Chardonnays from renowned vineyards across the world. Executive Chef Jake Kowalewski has created a gourmet journey that highlights the rich and complex flavours of this popular grape variety.
As part of LeVeL33's commitment to innovation, the event will highlight the brewery's distinctive ContemBrewery cuisine, which seamlessly incorporates beer and its byproducts throughout the meal. From the sparkling Blanc de Blanc Champagne to the deep, full-bodied expressions, including wild fermentation variations, guests will experience a variety of Chardonnay flavours from both old and new world terroirs.
The evening opens with Barons de Rothschild Champagne Blanc de Blancs NV, a pleasant blend of citrus and almond notes that pairs nicely with Oysters Two Ways and LeVeL33's own Blond Lager Mignonette. The adventure continues with Logan Apple Tree Flat Chardonnay 2021, a flawless representation of tropical fruits and rich textures, served with delicately marinated Scallop Ceviche from Japan.
The third dish will be a Crab & Wagyu Lardo Toast, made with sustainably sourced blue swimmer crabs and house-cured Wagyu beef fat, served with Domaine Daniel Dampt & Fils Chablis 2021, a typical Burgundian expression with flavours of green apple and minerality.
The gastronomic journey continues with the Valdivieso Single Vineyard Chardonnay Wild Fermented 2021, a powerful blend of peach and grapefruit, served with Watercress Spelt Risotto and caramelised onions. Hahn Founder's Chardonnay 2021 follows, with appealing aromas of apples and tropical fruits that pair nicely with Dry-Aged Tasmanian Ocean Trout.
To end the Chardonnay voyage, guests will have Rivera Lama dei Corvi Chardonnay DOC 2021, matured in French oak barriques and tastefully paired with Strawberry & Lemon Thyme desserts.
