From May 7 to 31, Chef Paolo Benedet offers a gourmet feast with his May special, "L'Amore Per Il Mare," which translates to "Love for the Sea." This unique cuisine celebrates the freshest ocean seafood and is offered for both lunch and dinner.
The four-course set menu opens with a Chilled Seafood Salad, which includes crispy celery and sundried tomatoes seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and lemon. This refreshing beginning sets the tone for the delicious courses to come. The second course, Homemade Tagliolini Pasta, features prawns, zucchini and mullet bottarga, combining classic Italian flavours with fresh seafood. The main course consists of pan-seared tuna in a pistachio crust, grilled zucchini and an orange and black olive salad. This dish showcases Chef Paolo's talent for mixing textures and flavours to produce an unforgettable feast.
Wine pairings are carefully chosen to enhance the dining experience. The Ruffino Lumina Pinot Grigio is a medium-bodied wine with floral notes, pears, and golden apples, as well as subtle traces of sage, mint, and minerality. The Two Rivers of Marlborough Convergence Sauvignon Blanc 2021 has explosive scents of passionfruit, white peach, gooseberry, and lime juice, which blend with subtle caper berries and flint. Alternatively, the Jean-Pierre et Alexandre Ellevin Chablis 2022 is a silky, robust wine with complex lemon, pear, and citrus flavours.
The meal closes on a sweet note with Balsamic Vinegar Sautéed Strawberry and Lavender Flower Ice Cream. This one-of-a-kind and delicious dessert flawlessly rounds out the dining experience. This unique set menu is offered from 12pm to 3pm (Wednesday through Sunday) and 6pm to 10.30pm (everyday) for $118++ per person, with wine recommendations beginning at $23++ per glass.
