People work hard and party harder in Bangkok, and we’re all in for the wild nightlife this city has to offer. Our regular tipple houses are great; however, Expat Choicers also love checking out the newest bars with their new concoctions, style, and vibe. So put on your party shoes and take a pick from these fresh, happening places in Bangkok. Image Credit: Thecuriousdan
Stella
Stella makes its drinks strong, just like the women they’re celebrating. These stellar women have made their name in the bar industry over the years and their stories feature on the menu. Amongst their signatures we recommend Hanky Fizz, La Dolors, Tijuana’s Tale, and Pale Perrine. You’ll also find botanical infused spirits, a lovely selection of wine, and lip smacking mocktails to go with their delish tapas—House Smoked Salmon Tartine, Taraba Crab Skewer with Salsa Verde, Hokkaido Scallops with fried leeks. Zuma
The vibe at Zuma is alluring, and we love frequenting this bar on special occasions or simply turn an ordinary day into an occasion just to come down here. Since we’re spilling secrets, this suave bar has introduced new cocktails on the menu and we’re loving the sound of it. They also have delicious food to go with these innovative drinks and we recommend their Seared Tuna with braised red onion and ponzu, Lobster Carpaccio, and of course, their sushi and sashimi. Lost in Thaislation
The new kid on the block is on its trial run and calls itself Lost in Thaislation. While their wordplay game is strong, so are their drinks and their eats. They are surely catching attention despite there being plenty of other well-established bars in the area. Currently, they are whipping up delicious Thai street food so you’ll find delicious eats like Pad Thai, Minced Pork & Sour Plum Soup, Mango Sticky Rice, and Chicken Rice on their menu. Mezcal
If you’re a fan of innovative cocktails, you’re going to love the ones at Mezcal made using mezcal, a traditional distilled beverage agave. We love their Mezcal Sour (mezcal joven, ginger liqueur, lime), Peachy Corpse N.2 (lillet blanc, mezcal anejo, peach liquor, absinthe), and Paloma (tequila reposado, grapefruit, chilli salt). Their eats are just as good and we loved devouring their Truffle Fundido, Passionfruit Aguachile, and Pork Pibil Tacos. Image Credit: Mezcal Instagram

Brown Sugar
Making a comeback to the streets of Bangkok, Brown Sugar is an old player establishing itself way back in 1985. Back with a bang at a new location in Chinatown, you’ll find live bands playing here every day of the week and music is generally jazz and blues. Sit back, enjoy a few cold beers and let the vibe take over you. The food here is fun, fried, and moreish, perfect for a laid back evening on a weekend. Image Credit: Brown Sugar Facebook Page
