The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is as popular for its food as it is for designer stores. Celebrity restaurants have made it home, offering diners a platter of options to choose from, not often an easy task.

From Wolfgang Puck to Gordon Ramsey, the who’s who of the culinary world are represented in this one place. But with so many options, how does one pick where to dine? Here is a list of our favourite restaurants in Marina Bay Sands Shoppes to make the decision easier for you:

Waku Ghin by Tetsuya Wakuda

Chef Wakuda’s only other restaurant outside of his world-famous establishment in Sydney, Waku Ghin is refined and understated. Serving only a 10-course degustation menu to 25 seats each night, the restaurant borrows European techniques and influences to infuse them into classic Japanese preparations. If you do not want to spend as much but still want to experience Waku Ghin, drop in for Social Hour from 6-7pm every Tuesday when you can sip on an addictive (and thankfully discounted) Sake Mule seated in the bar area.

Long Chim by David Thompson

Long Chim does the near-mpossible; take Thai street food and elevate it to Michelin star levels. The spacious restaurant is bright and quirky, with a tempting menu. The trick however, is to visit it during lunch for their unbeatable lunch set menu. Affordable and consistently exceptional, lunch at Long Chim is a sure-shot way to please out-of-towners when they come visiting.

CUT by Wolfgang Puck

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is hailed as the king of steaks in USA. His modern steakhouse, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, boasts of a spectacular dining room and luxurious cuts of meat grilled to perfection. If you are picky about your steaks, you will love this place, it is difficult to fault their plates.

Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsey

One of the most popular chefs in the world, Gordon Ramsey has his footprints in Singapore through his casual restaurant – Bread Street Kitchen. A perfect spot for lunch, the restaurant offers an enticing lunch deal and an extensive wine list. If you’re in the mood to indulge, you may pre-order Ramsey’s famed Beef Wellington, it is made in limited quantities and tends to run out quickly.

Adrift by David Myers

Tracing Chef Myers’ wandering footsteps from California to Asia, Adrift offers an international menu designed to please avid travellers. Located in the atrium of Marina Bay Sands, the restaurant has a large lounge as well as a separate dining area. The beef burger at Adrift is one of the best in town, do try one when you drop in.

The Bird Southern Table and Bar

Besides these heavyweights, there are many other options in the mall too. Newly opened ‘The Bird Southern Table and Bar’ is known for its slightly uncommon combination of waffles and crispy fried chicken. And when all else fails, there is always Din Tai Fung.
