Chopsuey Cafe, one of the pioneer brands of Dempsey Hill, is set to debut a series of yummy new additions on the 1st of May 2023. Adding a whopping twenty new delicious dishes to its extensive menu, offering something to suit every taste.
Starters
The latest incarnation of Chopsuey Cafe’s menu features a delicious array of luxurious starters. Dig into sweet, melt-in-the-mouth delights such as the Hot Honey Soy Crispy Eggplant, which is coated in a delectable chilli garlic crumb or the Crispy Crunchy Baby
Squid made with the freshest ocean catch and topped with wok-crisped tofu, peanuts and a sweet sticky sauce. Those who love to bring some heat to the table will enjoy the Crispy Spicy Chicken Bites, which are served alongside a sweet honey kicap, or the sumptuously tender Spicy Kimchi Kurobuta Belly, which is served with fresh kimchi herbs. All this is made even more delicious when washed down with the refreshing Young Coconut Seafood soup which features fresh king prawns, scallop and snapper fillet.
For those who love a fresh salad to start or accompany their meal, the brand has added two yummy new offerings to its menu. The Chopsuey Smoked Duck Salad is made with house smoked duck, silver sprouts, five spice, salad greens and a tangy vinaigrette. Guests can also get a taste of Hanoi with the Grilled Pork Bun Cha, which contains a herby mix of mint basil, lemongrass, peanuts and vermicelli. Both of these salad offerings can be modified to become vegetarian options.
Seafood Mains
For seafood lovers, Chopsuey Cafe’s menu boasts an abundant selection of dishes to choose from, such as the Fresh Crab & Chunky Prawn Omelette, which comprises a light and fluffy omelette bursting with crab, prawns and a house made chilli jam, the Crispy Atlantic Hake with Chilli Garlic Sauce and the Steamed Atlantic Halibut Tofu Lasagne. The latter being Chopsuey’s own take on a classic, comprising juicy halibut and silken tofu layered with a spicy black bean sauce.
Meat Based Mains
Those in the mood for something meatier will enjoy dishes such as the Balsamic Sweet & Sour Chicken, Peppery Beef Short Ribs and General Tso’s Pork Ribs, which are served in a sticky and delicious orange zest sauce. Famous for its hearty curries, Chopsuey Cafe also presents the Massaman Curry Duck Leg, which comprises a confit duck leg smothered in a fragrant and earthy red curry sauce. If you’re craving for something different enjoy the tasty tingle of the Numbing Lamb Ribs, which are prepared sous vide and tossed with house made curry sauce, crushed Szechuan pepper and served with a green mango salad.
Other delicious mains include new additions to the already extensive dim sum selection, such as the Pan Seared Pepper Beef Buns and Fried Prawn and Scallop Beancurd Rolls. As well as the Smoky Ma Po Tofu with King Prawns, Filet Mignon Dripping Fried Rice which is wok-fried and served with crispy egg clouds and the Steamed Organic Tofu with a Spicy Crispy Crumb.
