This Mother's Day, show your appreciation for your mom's unconditional love with a thoughtfully curated menu by Head Chef Shingo Iijima. Available from 7 to 15 May 2023, the Mother’s Day 4-Course Set Lunch ($138++) is Inspired by his mother and wife who hold a special place in his life, and also embraces the delicate flavours and ingredients of spring that will beguile the palate.
Highlights of this menu include the Salmon Saikyo Yaki & Seasonal Dishes, presenting tender salmon glazed with Kyoto Saikyo sweet white miso and grilled to perfection. The dish is accompanied by eight flavorful dainty accompaniments featuring Wagyu Tsukune - a charcoal-grilled mix of minced Wagyu beef, egg yolk, and oba leaf. Other sides include the Toriyama Umami Wagyu wrapped in vegetables as well as Chef Shingo's sesame-infused tofu topped with Uni.
The menu also features Fat Cow's signature Fat Rice, a delectable blend of steamed premium Japanese rice seasoned with "Fat Shoyu" comprising kombu, truffle oil, and Wagyu Fat.
The meal ends on a delightful note with the Strawberry Jelly served with Milk Sauce & Yuzu Zest. This intricate dessert features layers of temperature-sensitive strawberry jelly, complemented by a luscious milk sauce and black sesame ice cream.
