Award-winning steakhouse, Bedrock Bar & Grill, welcomes 2022 with a new format for its signature World Meat Series. Into its sixth successive year, the quarterly showcase shines the spotlight on the finest cuts of premium and lesser-known meats from around the world.

From 11 January to 31 March 2022, diners can enjoy the delectable flavour and tenderness of the esteemed Satsuma Gyu 4% Miracle Beef with a one-night only wine or whisky dinner on the opening night, and the same tasting menu will be offered with a top-up option for wine or whisky pairings during the remaining promotional period.

A la carte specials are also on the menu for diners who wish to add a dish or two to Bedrock Bar & Grill’s popular mainstays. The tasting menu and à la carte specials of selected dishes are available for both dine-in and takeaway (self-collection & delivery). To heighten the dining experience, opt for the exquisite wine pairings to complement the tasting menu.

Satsuma Gyu is acclaimed for its rich marbling that enhances the beef’s tenderness and juiciness. Recognised as a rarity amongst the rare, Satsuma Gyu is an exclusive subgroup of Kagoshima Wagyu that possess pure bred Japanese Black Cattle genes. The stringent considerations for the beef to be labelled an authentic Satsuma Gyu ensues in only 4,000 qualifying heads of cattle each year of Wagyu grade 4 and above.

Amongst the shortlisted cattle, only 4% has over 80% of fat to reach a perfect marbling score of 10 and above. Bred only by 12 award-winning Kagoshima-based beef producers with the status of ‘Meijin’ that is conferred to Japanese Wagyu competition prize winners, the result is a consistent first-rate beef with gorgeous marbling and an incomparable melt.

Diners can savour the famed Kagoshima craft beef in four cuts that take centre-stage – such as the Beef Tartare, Boneless Wagyu Chuck Rib, Wagyu Ribeye Sando and Woodfire Grilled Wagyu Striploin. ​​​​​​​
