Imagine trying the exceptional Basque Cake (Etxeko bixkotxa) that dates back to the 18th century or IGP Sud Ouest certified duck foie gras that simply melts in your mouth. What’s more, hidden within their mains is a thousand year old discovery — Bayonne Ham (Jambon De Bayonne) waiting to be savoured.
Known for their fêtes and festivals that occur all year round, the Basque culture is about coming together in celebration of their heritage and identity. Having moved to their new humble space in 2021, Kinou has endured multiple setbacks during the pandemic. Despite it all, resilience is at the core of their spirit and the team remains excited to make merry and create more memorable times.
Inspired by his mum to travel and share his food with the world, Chef Benjamin Tilatti credits her by naming his restaurant after her nickname.
With authenticity being the hallmark of Kinou, it is not surprising that his revised menu also reflects memories of his grandma’s recipes and preserves her traditional flavours.
