Expats know and love Holland V for more than one reason. You can dine at the Hawker for as little as $3.50 or go to a la di da restaurant and pay through the nose - and then everything in between. I've had many a beer in the Holland V neighbourhood in the ten years I have lived in Singapore and managed to eat at most of the cafes, bars and restaurants along the popular Lor Mambong.
It is a refreshing change to have a meal and kick back to some live vocals at Rumours. It does cater for all tastes and has a wild menu that is not only affordable - it's delicious - every bite. The Burgers are brilliant and really reasonable at about $ 12 - some places ask $30 plus for the same burger so this is highly recommended. The Steak is terrific and the German platter is hearty - it's a sharing portion. But what really takes the cake is the bright smile service I have received on the two occasions I have been there over the past two weeks. Keep the good work up - I strongly suggest to try Rumours - you will be surprised at the top quality and the affordable prices
